Our Story

Hey girls (and to the guys who shop with us too),

I'm Laura! The founder and mother of Käel Haus. I started this brand back in 2025 while studying design at Parsons in NYC, and it came from a really simple idea: we should be able to express ourselves more, even in the places where we can't always do that. At school. At work. In the meeting where everyone has the exact same grey laptop.

We already swap our phone cases constantly to match our mood or our outfit. So why aren't we doing that with our laptops? They're with us just as much, and they're even more expensive than our phones. Yet they sit there completely unprotected, and the only thing that exists to protect them are ugly laptop sleeves that don't even do the job when your laptop is actually in use.

Honestly, it started as a side thing. I was making cases just for myself and a few friends because I couldn't understand why everyone was walking around with such boring laptops. I mean, I live in the most stylish city in the world...we obsess over our shoes, our hair, our jewellery, our iPhone cases… so why on earth wouldn't we care about our laptop? 

Every time I brought mine to class or into the office, people would stop me and ask where it was from. And that's how KH was born yay!! 

We wanted something that actually protects your MacBook from the little bumps and dents you pick up carrying it from home to the office to the café while also letting people know who you are the second you pull it out. Something you're excited to carry around and represents your style.

That's why we exist today. Cases you want to swap out, style with, and show off, the same way you would with your phone. 

We just had a big relaunch last month, so I'm beyond excited to have you here at the start of this next chapter with us.
